36 shows down, 1 to go -- it's going to be a sad night.
It's official .. there is ONE show left on the 2005 Camplified Tour and I'm starting to get teary eyed already. Being on this tour for 6 1/2 weeks spending 24/7 - eating, working, sleeping, with the same people will force you to get close really fast. Even though none of us really knew eachother before the tour we've been a family since day 1 and I'm sad to see that end. As you already know the tour ends Thursday so I'd like to thank a bunch of people in this entry who definitely deserve it.
- First off I'd like to thank Aimee Berger for putting together such an amazing tour.
- The TALENT deserves the next thank-you. To Nikki, Jillian, Katelyn, Katie, Zach, New Anthem, Arkitekt, Bensin, Hidden Echo, and I-94 .. THANK YOU for all the memories, great performances, jokes, and determination. Even through the rough times you pulled through - bigger things await, and we will always support you.
- To my roadie boys - Gary, Clint, Chris, & Greg: You're always the first to arrive and the last ones to leave the camps. Without you there would be no concert .. and nobody to help haul the scholastic tent. WE LOVE YOU for everything you've had to put up with, thanks for hanging in.
- All of the parents, managers, relatives, and entorage to the artists (who were always there): More importantly .. Sheri, GAHREY & MAHREY, Kenny & Kim, Tom, Mike & the Hidden Echo Crew, The Allen Family, & Shaun and Wade, ROCK ON - you will be missed.
- Derek, Danny (D1) and Danny (D2): My boys .. thanks for letting me join your crew for the end of the tour. You were the peace of mind that I needed esp. while I was stressing out. I can always count on you to entertain me at hotels, shows, and even on off days with your humor. I'm always here to help.
- Tess & Heather: My sisters .. the ones who have to listen to me complain day in and day out. Thanks for helping me survive the hottest summer I can remember. You lived with me literally 24/7 for the whole summer and helped deal with all of the chaos that happened while nobody was looking, I love you for that. The three of us are like and old married couple (+1), or so it seems. I really enjoyed spending my first tour with you and I hope we can all work together in the future. See you on the road!
After talking about the things I'll miss on the tour I felt like making a list of the things I WON'T miss: Green Acres Motel, getting lost, sketchy hotel rooms, GREAT BARRINGTON, 5 hour car rides, 8am call times, dirty clothes, dirty feet, dirt in general, CAMP FOOD, memorizing 50 names, 90+ degree heat, no cell/internet service, cows/deer/rolling hays, no washing machines, multiple 35 cent tolls, rest stops, NYC traffic, THE SCHOLASTIC TENT, wake up calls, video cameras, Pottstown/New Brunswick/THE POCONOS, glitter, intro sheets, being sick for two weeks, leaving items behind, the group sales departments, and mosquitos!
One last show (it's also Zach's BIRTHDAY) I will update with post tour news, but now it's time for me to fall asleep while listening to my BSB's.
<3 always Andria
